Askanim = Villians??

Did you get the feeling that the askanim were the "villains" in this story as soon as you read the first line? Or is it just my biases?

  2. Props to R' Shteinman!

    Perhaps we're finally seeing a backlash from Gedolim against "askanim" (see also the R' Elyashiv comments last month) for twisting how they/Torah are perceived?

  4. Askonim of this type would benefit from a relaxing vacation from their grueling job of manipulation.

  6. He said they come to him every year to ban camp...what is wrong with these people. Thank G-d he stands up to these thugs. The crazies are getting crazier. I like the line about charedi only vacation spots. Maybe that's not such a bad idea, maybe some of these people can move there and stay away from the rest of us. I posted about this as well. Sick stuff.

  7. Why doesn't he get office hours and a secretary to screen out the crazies? Doesn't he have better things to do than deal with these idiots day in and out?
