And then I cover all the evidence that I had eggs - I wash the dishes, I replace the eggs in the refrigerator, etc. and don't tell anyone I had eggs. I can deny it from here to the ends of the earth - the evidence for it is gone and can never be found, but that doesn't change the fact that, in reality, I *did* eat the eggs.

The same applies to the mabul. If God went ahead and covered up all the evidence to it (a theory which is wacky in it's own regard) that doesn't really change the factuality of the event itself.

The WolfBrooklynWolfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03994285019137108636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11425059.post-1115865154288012262005-05-11T22:32:00.000-04:002005-05-11T22:32:00.000-04:00If one holds that the whole flood was a miracle - ...If one holds that the whole flood was a miracle - the fact of waters covering the earth, the miraculous acquisition and maintenance of all the worlds animals, etc. - I'm not sure why the same miracle that brought the dodo to Noah wouldn't return it at the end.

However DNA evidence does not support the idea that every non-kosher species on earth went through a genetic bottleneck of getting down to 2 of each species 6000 years ago.

At some point I have to say - if the flood really happened, but all evidence of it was miraculously covered up, what difference is there between that and saying it never happened. To quote some gentile philosopher (I don't believe that Spock said it first) "A difference that makes no difference is no difference".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
