Rabbi Slifkin Responds To A Critique

Rav Ya'akov Segal apparently wrote a critique on The Camel, The Hare & The Hyrax and sent it to Rabbi Slifkin. Rabbi Slifkin has responded to the critique.

I'm still in the middle of it, and, since I'm not a native Hebrew speaker, I'd be lying if I said I fully understood everything Rav Segal is saying, but so far it's interesting reading.

Great retort by R. Slifkin.

I was once writing an article about something and my father told me "don't be so obvious...the person who did it, they should read the article agreeing with you and only realize after that you've disembowled them." R. Slifkin's reply is concise, well written and greatly argued.

These types of things keep getting these rabbonim into deeper and deeper trouble. Their constituents won't read these books anyway (even those that do read English) and, at least for me, diminishes the respect I have for them.
