More Theme Challos

As she did last year, Eeees made theme challos for Channukah again. This year, she made four dreidel challos, one each for Nun, Gimel, Hay and Shin. With her permission, here are pics of the challos. Needless to say, they were delicious.

if you're making the dreidel, might as well make 4 gimmels!

Will she be making menorah challot for the second Shabbat Chanukah?

For the Rebbitzen--You inspire me. G-d willing I can post some pictures next year. I've worked on me dough this year and it is much more workable and delicious.

To my "pesky" friend...
I thought about making menorah challot. The problems with them are: it would make it too easy to accidentally break off an "arm" (thus rendering the challah problematic for lechem mishna)and I don't have a baking pan large enough. However, I may yet give it a try...
In response to sephardilady, I'm no Rebbitzen :), but I appreciate the compliment! Good luck with your challah baking always!
To "Anonymous"-
I thought about making all gimmels..but why leave out the nun for "nes" (miracle)? The entire holiday celebrates the miracle of the Maccabeas triumph over the larger Greek army. Why would I leave that out? And once I am already making the "nun" and "gimmel", well.. it only felt natural to include the "hey" and "shin" as well!

eeees-Some of our guests refer to me as "the Rebbitzen," but I too am no Rebbitzen. . . more like the head chef, financial advisor, chief disciplinarian, stylist, and chauffer. But, I guess that is a mouthful. Chanukah Sameach.

Sephardilady-
LOL...I guess we have the same job description. But since that was too long to fit on a nameplate, my kids just call me "MOMMY". :)
Have a wonderful Chanuka and Shabbos!
