Maybe they did this purposely so there add would receive attention and get free publicity from the bloggers.

Wolf, obviously "simply half" is not the equal to just regular "half". Get with the program! ;)
Why not call them and politely point out the error? Its misleading advertising.
Since it is very close to half off (in one case off by only $25), its not really misleading- so I suspect that they probably were making the mistake intentionally just to attract attention.
Obviously, you're not getting the subtle (but obvious) gematriatical angle on this. Unfortunately, for your own safety, if it isn't obvious to you, I shouldn't explain it to you lest you become a ball of fire.
